Heavy Bag Power Hooks

Heavy Bag
🥊

Why This Matters for Boxing

Single hooks at 100% power with a full reset between each. This is how you calibrate your hook — every rep is at max force, so you learn what peak power feels like and can reproduce it under pressure.

How To Do It

  1. 1Stand in your fighting stance in front of the heavy bag.
  2. 2Throw one single lead hook at maximum power.
  3. 3Reset fully — guard up, feet planted, hips squared.
  4. 4Breathe. Then throw the next hook.
  5. 5Alternate lead and rear hooks across sets.

Pro Tips

  • The bag should swing noticeably on every rep — if it doesn't, you're pushing, not snapping.
  • Turn your lead foot and hip into the hook.
  • Don't wind up — power comes from rotation, not from loading back.
