•• Intermediate Rotational Power
Landmine Rotations
Why This Matters for Boxing
Connects hip pivot to shoulder extension — the exact kinetic chain of a cross. The landmine arc forces rotational power through your core while your arms guide the barbell, mimicking how force travels from your rear foot through your hips and into the punch.
How To Do It
- 1Secure one end of a barbell in a landmine attachment or corner.
- 2Hold the free end with both hands at chest height.
- 3Rotate the barbell from one hip to the other in an arc.
- 4Drive the rotation from your hips and core, not your arms.
- 5Control the movement in both directions.

Pro Tips
- Start light — form matters more than weight here.
- Think about your cross: same hip rotation, same shoulder extension.
- Keep feet planted and rotate on the balls of your feet.
