•• Intermediate Explosive Power
Rotational Med Ball Slams
Why This Matters for Boxing
Mimics the arcing downward power path of the overhand right. The slam combines rotation, extension, and gravity — the same force vectors that make the overhand one of the highest-KO punches in boxing.
How To Do It
- 1Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a medicine ball.
- 2Rotate your torso and raise the ball overhead to one side.
- 3Slam the ball down and across your body explosively.
- 4Catch or pick up the ball and repeat on the same side.
- 5Complete all reps before switching sides.

Pro Tips
- Use a slam ball (dead bounce), not a rubber ball.
- The power comes from your hips and core, not your arms.
- Think about throwing an overhand right as you slam.
