Why This Matters for Boxing

Mimics the arcing downward power path of the overhand right. The slam combines rotation, extension, and gravity — the same force vectors that make the overhand one of the highest-KO punches in boxing.

How To Do It

  1. 1Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a medicine ball.
  2. 2Rotate your torso and raise the ball overhead to one side.
  3. 3Slam the ball down and across your body explosively.
  4. 4Catch or pick up the ball and repeat on the same side.
  5. 5Complete all reps before switching sides.
