Shadowbox: Slip Inside to Uppercut
Why This Matters for Boxing
Visualize jab, slip inside, fire rear uppercut. This is one of boxing's most devastating counters — the inside slip takes you under the jab and into perfect position for a rear uppercut.
How To Do It
- 1Stand in your fighting stance.
- 2Visualize an opponent throwing a jab.
- 3Slip inside (toward their body).
- 4Immediately throw a rear uppercut.
- 5Reset and repeat.

Pro Tips
- The slip should take your head to the inside of their arm.
- The uppercut comes from the legs — not the arm.
- This is how Mike Tyson scored many of his knockouts.
