Why This Matters for Boxing
Explosive power for fast pivots and distance closing. The jump trains the same fast-twitch muscle fibers you use when you explode into range or pivot out of danger. Think of every box jump as practice for the explosive first step.
How To Do It
- 1Stand in front of a plyo box at a comfortable height.
- 2Bend your knees and swing your arms back.
- 3Explode upward, landing softly on top of the box.
- 4Stand up fully on the box.
- 5Step down (don't jump down) and repeat.
