Single-Leg Calf Raises
Why This Matters for Boxing
Pivot-foot stability. When you pivot, all your weight shifts to your lead foot's ball — your calf is the muscle that keeps you balanced and allows the rotation. Weak calves = sloppy pivots.
How To Do It
- 1Stand on one foot on a step or ledge.
- 2Let your heel hang off the edge.
- 3Rise up on your toes as high as possible.
- 4Lower slowly below the step level for a full stretch.
- 5Complete all reps, then switch feet.
