Why This Matters for Boxing
Core bracing under extreme load. When you throw a rear uppercut, your core must brace to transfer all that leg drive into the punch. The ab wheel rollout trains this exact bracing pattern at full extension — the hardest position to maintain.
How To Do It
- 1Kneel on the floor holding an ab wheel.
- 2Roll the wheel forward, extending your body as far as you can.
- 3Keep your core tight — don't let your lower back sag.
- 4Pull the wheel back to starting position using your abs.
- 5Start with partial rollouts and progress to full extension.
