Landmine Rotations from Squat
Why This Matters for Boxing
Combines level change with rotation — the exact mechanics of a body hook from a crouched position. The squat keeps you low while the rotation builds the torque needed to rip hooks to the liver.
How To Do It
- 1Set up a landmine as normal.
- 2Hold the end at chest height in a half-squat.
- 3Rotate the barbell side to side while maintaining the squat depth.
- 4Drive the rotation from your hips and core.
- 5Don't stand up between rotations.

Pro Tips
- This is significantly harder than standing landmine rotations.
- Start with just the barbell — no added weight.
- Your quads and obliques should both be screaming.
