Standing Oblique Crunches
Why This Matters for Boxing
Mimics the slip crunch motion. When you slip a punch, your oblique crunches laterally to move your head offline. This exercise trains that exact movement pattern so your slips become second nature.
How To Do It
- 1Stand with feet shoulder-width apart.
- 2Place one hand behind your head.
- 3Crunch your torso sideways, bringing your elbow toward your hip.
- 4Focus on squeezing your oblique at the bottom.
- 5Return to upright and repeat.
