Pivot Drill (50 Reps)
Why This Matters for Boxing
The most specific footwork drill for pivoting. Anchor your lead foot and swing your rear leg around — exactly how you pivot in a fight to create new angles or escape the corner.
How To Do It
- 1Stand in your fighting stance.
- 2Plant your lead foot firmly.
- 3Swing your rear leg around to the left (or right).
- 4End up in a new stance position at a different angle.
- 5Return to original stance and repeat.

Pro Tips
- Your lead foot is the anchor — it rotates but doesn't leave the ground.
- Practice both directions equally.
- Add a punch after each pivot once comfortable.
